Kristi earned a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from Purdue and a Master of Science degree from Indiana State. She is certified to teach Physical Education and Health in grades K-12. She has experience in both public and private school settings as well as serving as an instructor and academic advisor at Indiana State and instructing at Purdue. In 2014, due to her knowledge of and experience using a variety of technologies almost daily in her own teaching, she became the Lafayette Catholic School System’s first Elementary Technology Integration Specialist, a position that mainly required planning and co-teaching lessons with classroom teachers in all three elementary schools as they incorporated new technology into their daily lessons. Kristi received a Greater Lafayette Commerce Golden Apple and was the Indiana Society of Health and Physical Educators’ (INSHAPE) Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year, both in 2015. She is currently serving as Vice-President of the Technology Council for INSHAPE and is responsible for “the coordination of ongoing professional development opportunities for members who use technology in their Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance endeavors.” To date, she has given more than 50 presentations at the local, state, and national levels involving the use of technology to enhance learning.
