The moaning and groaning over the dreaded book report or darn diorama can be heard in every classroom across America. What does research say about effective reading instruction and the use of book reports? How can we free up more time for our student to read and use technology to reflect upon the reading in an authentic way? This session will provide innovative ways for ELA classroom teachers, elementary through secondary, to use technology to deepen student comprehension while holding them accountable for reading.
